Every themed night its own world, in four Romanian cities.

Key visuals, animated posters and city variants for 2nite's pop-culture themed parties in four Romanian cities, plus the RNB Summer Nites logo system.

Every themed night its own world, in four Romanian cities.

The challenge

2nite throws pop-culture themed parties and sells the tickets on its own platform. Every event needs a world of its own, in every format the feed and the ticket page use, and often in versions for several cities. The calendar never stops, so the real risk is sameness.

The insight

Start every poster from a drawing: decide the composition first, and every image after it has to respect it.

The approach

Each event starts with a board of references for mood, colour and type. Our art directors sketch the composition first: where the figures sit, where the type goes, what the eye reads first. The key visual is then refined against that sketch until it holds. From the key visual come the feed and story formats, city variants, profile images and, where it helps, an animated version for the ticket page and the venue screens.

Process

How we got there.

Discover — Inspiration board

Each theme starts with a board of references for mood, colour and type, collected per event.

Per-event reference board

Design — Hand sketch

The composition is drawn as a pencil sketch: where the figures sit, where the type goes, what the eye reads first.

Sketch, 11 May 2026

The pencil sketch for the RNB Summer Nites poster: a DJ booth framed by speakers and brick walls, a crowd on either side.

Design — Refining the key visual

The key visual is refined against the sketch, version after version: every pass is reviewed and corrects whatever drifted from the composition.

Versions refined against the sketch

Four versions of the crowd and DJ booth illustration, each refined against the original sketch; one adds an 'RNB Nites' sign with hearts to the booth.

Deliver — Key visual and formats

The final key visual, the RNB Summer Nites logo system and every format the campaign needs, from feed to story to ticket page.

From sketch to final key visual

The finished RNB Summer Nites key visual, cropped to the DJ booth, the crowd and 'Tickets on 2nite', above the coral vinyl-star mark, tall logo and wide logo.
The RNB Summer Nites logo system in four colourways, coral on maroon, maroon on coral, black on white and white on ink: the vinyl-star mark, the tall lockup and the wide lockup.
Sketch to final: the pencil sketch of a DJ booth between speakers, a crowd on either side, above the same scene in the finished RNB Summer Nites illustration.
RNB Summer Nites Vol. 2: the full illustration of a sunset lake with trees and a tower, a DJ and party-goers on the deck, beside the finished poster with the vinyl-star logo, title, venue and line-up.
Start frame of a VJ loop for a venue screen: a chrome slot machine glowing in red light trails, its reels showing the Rouge and EXTND marks.
Two end frames of the VJ loop: the slot machine lands three EXTND marks, and in the second version three Rouge logos.
The POP ICONS mark for 2nite's pop-music party nights: white 3D block letters on hot pink, made as the format's profile image.

Results

What it added up to.

From April 2025 to September 2026, 2nite's themed nights ran on our key visuals, from rooftop day parties to Halloween editions in three cities at once. Each campaign kept a world of its own while staying recognisably 2nite, from the feed to the ticket page.

A note from Alex

Party posters live for a few weeks, so the process has to be solid. Every key visual starts as a drawing: where the eye lands, where the type sits, what the crowd feels like. Everything after that has to respect the sketch one to one, or it doesn't ship. That is how a party brand can change its world every few weeks and still look designed, never generic.
