ALGA
Brand identity
A gear and an A, drawn for precision.
Logo, brand guidelines and business cards for ALGA Technology & Industry, a laser-cutting and mechanical-processing company.

The challenge
ALGA works in laser cutting and mechanical processing, and its name carries two ideas: technology and industry. It needed an identity that shows both, and a compact system it could use from day one.
The insight
Precision is the brand: an A monogram inside a gear, angled upward to suggest constant progress.
The approach
Our designers went from sketches to digital concepts and alternative colourways, tested the mark in 3D as an object, then fixed the system in a compact brand book, palette, typography, spacing and every logo variation, and applied it to business cards with a gear pattern over a machining photograph.
The project
Logo, brand guidelines and business cards for ALGA Technology & Industry, a laser-cutting and mechanical-processing company.
What we delivered
- Logo proposal: sketch, logo elements, overview, 3D render, alternative concepts

- Brand guidelines: palette, typography, spacing, variations, print
- Business cards
Discover — Sketch and rationale
The concept was written into the first deck: the gear stands for the precision of laser cutting, the angled A for technology and constant progress.
Sketch and visualisation

Design — Concepts and 3D
Digital concepts, alternative colourways in blue, teal and orange, and a 3D render to test the mark as an object.
Logo proposal

Deliver — Brand book and print
Palette (Congress Blue, Gun Powder, Baby Blue, Silver), typography, spacing and logo variations in a compact brand book, then business cards with a gear pattern and a CNC photograph.
Brand book and business cards

Results
What it added up to.
ALGA received a complete brand book and a logo system in every lock-up and colourway it needs, with business cards ready for print. A company built on tolerances now has a mark drawn to the same standard.
The outcome
What the work changed.
ALGA received a complete brand book and a logo system in every lock-up and colourway it needs, with business cards ready for print. A company built on tolerances now has a mark drawn to the same standard.
A note from Alex
ALGA's work is about tolerances, so the logo had to be just as exact. The gear says industry, the angled A says progress, and the rest of the system stays out of the way: one blue, one grey, a clear typeface. I like showing it because the path from sketch to brand book is all there.
