Ice Lab
Brand identity, Packaging, Website
Clear ice, branded on every surface it touches.
Packaging, a manufacturer-ready carton box, fridge wraps, van livery and a bilingual website for Ice Lab, a clear-ice producer for bars and hotels.

The challenge
Ice Lab makes crystal-clear ice for bars, restaurants, hotels and events, frozen slowly from purified water. In a freezer, ice is ice. The brand had to look as considered as the drinks it ends up in, and stay consistent across bags, boxes, fridges, a delivery van and a site that sells to professionals in two languages.
The insight
Treat ice as an ingredient, not a commodity: if a bartender sees the brand before the cube, it has to belong on the back bar.
The approach
Our designers began with an exploration of marks for what was then called Clear Ice Lab, then built a system around the final faceted mark that works in one colour, from a business card to a fridge door. Packaging came next, product by product, followed by a carton box resolved line by line with the manufacturer in both languages. Ice Lab comes from the same owners as Sous Sol and The Tender Room, so the brand also had to sit beside the bars that pour it, on the back bar and in co-branded content.

Results
What it added up to.
icelab.ro is live in Romanian and English and signed by FA Studios. Print-ready files went out for the full bag range, the carton box, the fridge wraps and the van, and an October 2026 update gave the site one clear structure, a blog, structured data, an FAQ for answer engines and consent-based analytics.

A note from Alex
Ice is a product people don't look at twice, so every surface had to work harder: the bag in a bartender's hand, the fridge in a bar, the van at the door. What I like most about this project is the part nobody sees: a carton box answered line by line with the manufacturer until the inner and outer prints were exactly right. The website came last and ties it all together for the professionals who order it.
