Brand identity, Website, Campaigns & events

A quiet mark for a gallery that works with all the senses.

Logo, exhibition campaigns and an English-language website design for Mirare Gallery, a contemporary multisensory art gallery in Bucharest.

A quiet mark for a gallery that works with all the senses.

The challenge

Mirare Gallery opened as a contemporary, multisensory gallery, with a first group show at Common House Bucharest in November 2024. It needed a mark, a campaign for artists working across sculpture, painting, photography, installation and scent, and a website able to hold artists, exhibitions, events, news and a store.

The insight

A gallery brand should step back: a quiet monogram and a grain texture that frame the work instead of competing with it.

The approach

Our designers drew a stacked MIRARE / GALLERY monogram in black and white, then explored the opening show's campaign in two poster routes, one simple and one built from letters. The website design followed the gallery's brief, in English, with an open-graph image for every page, and the same system carried a second exhibition in 2025.

The project

Logo, exhibition campaigns and an English-language website design for Mirare Gallery, a contemporary multisensory art gallery in Bucharest.

What we delivered

  • Stacked monogram logo in black and white, with profile versions
  • Exhibition campaign: two poster routes, posters, cover, letter artworks and a leaflet with artist bios
  • Website design: Artists, Exhibitions, Events, News, About, Store, Contact
  • Open-graph images and artist feature visuals
  • Second exhibition: flyer for print, website background and co-brand lock-ups

Process

How we got there.

Define — Website brief

The gallery's brief set the structure (artists, exhibitions, events, news, about, store, contact) and an English-only site.

Site structure, English only

Typeset site map from the Mirare Gallery website brief: Home, Artists, Exhibitions, Events, News, About, Store and Contact, each with a one-line description, under the line 'English only'.

Design — Monogram

A stacked MIRARE / GALLERY mark in black and white, with and without text, sized for profile pictures.

Design — Two poster routes

The opening show was explored as a simple route and a route built from letters, then rolled out to posters, a cover, open-graph images and a leaflet.

Route 1 simple · Route 2 letters

Deliver — Second exhibition

In 2025 the system carried Keyframes, a collaboration with a Romanian footwear brand: a flyer for print, website background, co-brand lock-ups and photographed artworks for the web.

Keyframes flyer, June 2025

Both sides of the Keyframes flyer: the outside with the cover, exhibition text and gallery contact panel, and the inside with three artist bios under close-ups of their work: a pink and white form, scent bottles with a dropper and an orange-spotted ceramic.

The black-and-white Chimera poster route on a wall in a white corridor: tall condensed CHIMERA lettering curving across the sheet above the artists' names.
Two of the gallery's website share images on a smoky violet grain: 'Every Living Being is a Chimera, 27–30 November 2024, Common House Bucharest' with the monogram, and an artist feature for Raluca Băraru's 'Himera, 2024'.
Inside of the Chimera exhibition leaflet: the exhibition text and short biographies of Raluca Băraru, Mihaela Coandă, Anastasia Dumitrescu and Ana Preduș on a pale violet grain.
The Keyframes tri-fold flyer for Mirare Gallery × Alura, shown closed and open: a blue and orange painted portrait on the cover, the exhibition text, and the three artists with their bios.
Outside spread of the Keyframes flyer: the Mirare × Alura lockup, the exhibition text, the gallery's contact panel and the cover with KEYFRAMES over a painted blue portrait.
The Mirare Gallery monogram in black on white and in white on black: the letters of MIRARE stacked and interlocked above the word GALLERY.

Results

What it added up to.

The opening show ran from 27 to 30 November 2024 with its full campaign, and the identity carried the gallery into its second exhibition, Keyframes, in June 2025. One quiet system now frames every artist the gallery shows.

The outcome

What the work changed.

The opening show ran from 27 to 30 November 2024 with its full campaign, and the identity carried the gallery into its second exhibition, Keyframes, in June 2025. One quiet system now frames every artist the gallery shows.

A note from Alex

With a gallery, the hard part is restraint. The works are loud enough; our job was a mark that sits quietly next to them and a system that makes every artist look considered. For the first show we explored two poster routes, one simple and one built from letters, and let the gallery's name do the rest.
